Elizabeth Savage
Elizabeth Savage is a Certified Care Manager with over 20 years in aging care, and 12 years at Alder, where she also mentors fellow care managers. She holds an MSW from Boston University, where she earned the Louis Lowy Certificate in Gerontological Social Work and the Frances G. Frank Award in Gerontology for her contributions to the field.
Elizabeth came to care management after working alongside a care manager for the first time and being struck by what the role made possible. The distinction she noticed then still drives her: because a care manager works for the client, not a facility, a state agency, or a senior center, the relationship can go further and the impact can be more meaningful. She's a good listener, loves people, and has spent years doing the practical work of being in the facilities, talking to the agencies, and coordinating with the doctors and specialists her clients need. What can feel like an overwhelming search for answers is, with Elizabeth, a guided conversation with someone who has navigated it all before. A fun fact about Elizabeth is that she is a trained auctioneer!
